Research Questions:
RQ #1: What type of strategies do rural law enforcement agencies use to attract and recruit qualified applicants
from younger generations?
RQ #2: How do younger generations perceive rural law enforcement agencies’ online content for attracting
applicants?
Population: Rural law enforcement agencies with an online presence and 18/19-year-olds (Gen Z)
Sample: Rural law enforcement agencies with an online presence in West Virginia and College students at a
four-year private institution 18 and 19 years of age.
Who is not include: all law enforcement agencies in West Virginia and all potential college students.
