The aim and purposes of this essay is to discuss the health promotion activity on eating disorder with a mental health patient. For the purpose of the confidentiality, the author will refer the client as Ms E, Noncompliance with the NC (2008) on confidentiality. In the essay the author will discuss the support given to patient on an inpatient ward. The patient was diagnosed with an eating disorder and depression. Ms E is a 39 Old Italian woman who was diagnosed with the eating disorder.

She’s currently living with her sister and mother. She has never been admitted to hospital for eating disorder related illness in the past. Was allocated as her associate nurse on admission. It is the duties of every care worker specially nurses to educate and advice patients on how to live healthy and better life styles and also to assist patient to live a good life so the patient will be physically and medically balance.

The author helped MS E in planning health promo In this essay the author will outline the risk factors of an eating disorder, the patient’s SMART goal, the Health Belief Model and health promotion intervention used in the essay, followed by the application of the model in facilitating behavior change in linen. The barrier in which client will encounter during the change and ethical issue will be analyses in this essay. Ms E is 39 years old Causation lady. She was diagnosed with severe depression and anorexia nervous.

She lives with her parents (Italian father and Irish mother) and two sisters. According to WHO (World Health Organization, 2007) mental health is not just the absence of mental disorder, mental health could be defined as a state of well being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully and is TABLE to make a contribution to his or her own community. So anorexia and depression are both classified as a mental health condition.

Ms E was admitted to the clinic in South West London where the author works as health care assistant. She was admitted under the section 2 of the Mental Health Acts (1983). This is due to rapid weight loss, self-neglect and overdose of TABLEts. The section effete AMAH 1983 allows person to be admitted to hospital or assessment of their mental health and receive any necessary treatment. Ms E was admitted to the clinic in South West London where the author works as health care assistant. She was admitted under the section 2 of the Mental Health Acts (1983).

This is due to rapid weight loss, self-neglect and overdose of TABLEts. The section off the AMAH 1983 allows person to be admitted to hospital or assessment of their mental health and receive any necessary treatment. During the admission interview Ms E acknowledged that she’s underweight and will need treatment.
