Banner Health (BH) is a non-profit health organization domiciled in Phoenix, Arizona. BH operates as a health system with 30 hospitals and other specialized healthcare facilities in six states. The organization was created in 1999 from a merger between the Lutheran and Samaritan Health Systems. BH is the most extensive health system in Arizona and among the largest health systems in the USA, employing over 50 000 individuals. It also the leading non-profit healthcare provider in the USA. Since 2001, BH has been operating in six states, including Phoenix, North and South Dakota, Minnesota, Kansas, New Mexico, and Iowa.
